Down 'N Dirty Dash Tides Out 5k Run/Walk

MWR Fitness have the route designated with orange flags from the NASWI Fitness Center out to the beach.  Below are several low tide times you can come to walk or run the event throughout the month.  A great event for the family to see all the cool sea creatures on the beach when the tide is low! Below are the times that beaches on Whidbey island will be at low tide during the day...and low enough to  enjoy a walk/run on it AND keep our social distancing.  You can do the 5k on other beaches, so don’t feel like you must run/walk on the base.  
 

What you need to do:
1)  Register on myFFR for event #610131.
Make sure all your info is correct in myFFR.  We will be using the data to ship medals in the future. 

2) Pick a date/time from the Low Tide times listed below and swing by the gym first. Don't forget your cloth face covering at check-in.

3) You can pick up a t- shirt (if still available) or pick up a past event medal.  MWR Fitness has extra medals left over from past Flight line 5k. MWR Fitness also has 50 shirts for the first 50 to complete.  Limited sizes (unisex XL,L,M,S). MWR Fitness will have the shirts/medals available outside of the gym during low tide times stated below.

July 8: Noon-2 p.m
July 9: 2-3 p.m
July 17: 9-10 a.m
July 18: 9-11 a.m
July 19: 9:30 a.m.-Noon
July 20: 9:30 a.m.-Noon
July 21: 10 a.m.-1 p.m
July 22: Noon-2:30 p.m
July23:12:30-3 p.m
July 24: 1:30-3 p.m
July 30: 7:30-9 a.m
July 31: 8:30-10 a.m.

* Navy health precautions and physical distancing in effect, please bring a face covering with you for this event. Open to all MWR eligible patrons and immediate family members. Please do not touch, play with, or remove the Sea Life you find in the low tide areas.
